Often being the new student with little familiarity of the surrounding city, I was forced out of my comfort zone, challenged to learn the ropes of relationship-building. In elementary school, I was shy and reserved—to this day my coaches come up to me and are surprised by the person I’ve become.
I was nervous to intern within the pharmaceutical tech industry, but I was excited to push myself in this unique role. Ultimately, not only did I gain insights about the industry, but I also learned a great deal about the depths of a business.
Growing up, my parents advocated for me to play a variety of sports, believing that my competitive and driven nature would serve me well. Sports were not only enjoyable, but also taught me valuable life lessons.
This year I was elected captain of Wesleyan’s 2024 Football team with three of my teammates. Us four came together and decided that this was the year that we would do something special for Wesleyan Football and make history.
Enrolling in “Live Performance – Video and Documentation” taught me that art classes at Wesleyan University are remarkable in their ability to push students to their full, creative potential. This experience not only allowed me to uncover my artistic vision but also motivated me to continue persevering through academic hardships.
Moving to the East Coast for academics made me realize the importance of family in my life and endeavors. Having these support systems has taught me the essence of taking care of the people I love, knowing they would do the same for me.
